Law of chemical Combination.
2. Law of definite or constant proportions : it's states that,
" The same compound always contains the same elements combined together in the same fixed (definite) proportion by mass and its composition is independent of the method by which it is prepared. "
To understand this law simply, you have to remember the things that is -No matter what is the source of the compound, rather it matter only about the elements of the compound.
yess dudeππ, there is also limitations of the law of constant proportions.
Limitations:-
let's see the example, ethyl alcohol and dimethyl ether are found to contain the same elements( like carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen) which are combined in the same mass ratio.
C2H5-OH πππ C:H:O = 12:3:8
CH3-O-CH3 πππ C:H:O = 12:3:8
But these two are entirely different compound having different properties.
*there is also many case where the Law of constant proportions fails.
